Youi in the company of brands like google and microsoft.

Great article on brands that Youi featured in. It's really rewarding to hear people say things like this about our very young brand.
“What’s happened over the past 12 months is that too many brands have become commodities. Most don’t stand for anything; they look and feel the same, which is causing consumers to choose brands based on price or convenience. In turn, this is forcing marketers to discount and bundle in a vicious circle of margin reduction and business decline. Take for instance the insurance market. Most of the main insurers are dancing on a price pinhead, with the exception of Youi (insurance company) which has an engaging story and service delivery to match.”

We were finalists in the Australian Marketing Awards in the 'Best New Brand' category. Didn't win but good to be there. Bummer to lose to a tunnel that's in receivership!!!!! Oh well...
We've been in the market now for two years now. It's been a helluva ride but it's great to see the brand out there and healthy.

Bernhard Salt likes the Youi Insurance campaign.

Sometimes it's really hard to gauge the acceptance of a campaign by business people. There are always comments from the ad industry. Recently a creative director wrote: 'If Youi's not using an ad agency, why do work that looks like it does.' Now, that's really weird. What does it mean?
However, I recently received a link to an article written by Bernhard Salt, 'a leading commentator and advisor to corporate Australia on consumer, cultural and demographic trends.' (that's from his web site!) I know he's well respected in Australia and is often asked for his perspective on issues. He wrote an article on Investor Daily about how insurers in Australia connect with generational mindsets. I quote from the article a section about Youi Insurance: 'I can certainly see a lot of advertising shifting towards the generation Y focus. For example, Youi Insurance ads are very gen Y-focused - the ads are very cool, very edgy, very of the moment and it speaks to and connects with the new generation but it's selling insurance'

oh well, we didn't win....

So Youi didn't win the Adnews media campaign of the year, but to be a finalist, one of three, is really cool. The agency of the year was a media company and we know how challenging the media environment is becoming. We've done a really cool buy for this year so watch this space.
And hey...hats off to Universal McCann.

youi insurance up for more awards

Yep, we're at it again! Youi Insurance is a finalist in the Adnews Agency of the year awards in the media campaign of the year. Rockin'.... Hope we win!

Otherwise the business in doing really well and we're still growing....
